A manufacturing company in the Staples, MN area is looking to hire a Tool and Die Maker. Candidates will be repairing damaged molds, designing and building fixtures, working with the Engineering Technician to help design new tooling and to offer suggestions to make existing tools run more efficiently, working with supervisors and tool changers when there is a problem with a tool that is being run, checking all new tools coming in, meeting with supervisors and technical department to communicate progress on projects, sharpening and building tools used by production and any other duties as assigned. This position is 1st Shift, Monday Friday, 7am 3pm. Pay depends on qualifications.

-Analytical Skills: Tool and die makers need to create and read advanced blueprints to create specialized tools and molds.
-Attention to Detail: Precision is key. Tool and die makers need to make sure that their models and finished products are flaw free to the minutest detail.
-Technical Skills: Tool and die makers use CAD software and other computer programs to design and craft tools and die casts.
-Mechanical Skills: In addition to computer software, tool and die makers use a number of hand tools and large scale machines to finish their products.
-Stamina: Tool and die makers spend long hours on their feet, often bent over in the same position.
